The 10th PICC and MC training course of Hebei Province was successfully concluded

The 10th PICC Professional Technology and MC Professional Technical Training Course in Hebei Province was conducted offline in Jinyuan Building, Shijiazhuang City, from 23rd to 26th of December ,2021 .

The training course lasted for 2 weeks, and the curriculum focused on the combination of basic knowledge and clinical practice, and was divided into two parts: theory course and skills training.

Due to the epidemic situation, the theory course was conducted online. Although the road to success is strewn with setbacks, they cannot hinder the enthusiasm of the students for knowledge, and nearly 130 students from various colleges in Hebei Province come to study.

The practical training is divided into two parts:  demonstrations and free practice on the the 23rd and 25th of December;  a full day of examination on the Dec. 26th . Students who pass the final assessment will receive a certificate.

The training covers ultrasound-guided PICC catheterization, PICC catheterization, ultrasound-guided mini midline catheterization and mini midline catheterization.

Among them, the mini midline catheterization had attracted the much attention.

Mini midline catheters are 8-10 cm long which can be rapidly dwelt in the shallow vein of the forearm or arm by direct puncture technique, or in the deep vein of the arm by the integrated Setinger technique.

On Dec. 26th, the examination was conducted throughout the day and the graduation ceremony was also held successfully.
